Corona Virus COVID-19 Update

For information and latest press releases, please visit the ABC WKOW website.

March 13, 2020

WI PTA is aware of the current changing information surrounding the Coronavirus, or COVID-19. We are working diligently to respond to all changes and updates to school districts closing around the state due to the self quarantine requests.

As of today, March 13, 2020, the annual WI PTA Convention is still moving forward as we are unclear as to what will happen in the next few weeks. As Tony Evers has declared this a state of emergency, we continue to closely monitor the recommendations for larger events.

WI PTA’s number one priority is to keep our children and families safe. Within the next couple weeks, please visit the WI PTA Facebook page for Convention updates, or look for emails coming through Memberhub.

This is a time of great uncertainty as the Coronavirus spreads throughout the country at an alarming rate. Be prepared to face this virus by frequently washing your hands, cough into your sleeve and use hand sanitizer when ever necessary. Also, it is best to refrain from hand shakes and/or hugs as greetings.

As WI PTA learns more about the situation, we will relay any new information to you, our members.
